So the diary took a long hiatus. That's because I did >>;; Last semester was a bomb. This semester ... will be better. Yeah.

So to summarise this entry:

I have a finalised research question to work from.

"Over time, aesthetical music videos are giving way to videos containing narrative. The scope for narrative development within the timescale of a music video is limited, therefore this project will examine the use of aesthetics as a more powerful means of communication within this genre."

Voila.

Project proposal's official first draft is complete, and will be handed in tomorrow. Feeling quite proud of myself - font size 10 and I still managed 5 pages of writing alongside the the front cover, and the tree diagram summarising the objectives etc. Unless officially required, I hate writing in anything bigger than font size 10, and I despise ( Read more... )

This diary is going to have a main purpose over the next nine months. It's going to be the working diary, log, and general blatherspace for my honours project.
