I like the ending - funny how a small thing like not having an umbrella in the rain can be more upsetting to ourselves than someone else's serious problem. It reminds me of the Mel Brooks quote, (something like) "Comedy is you falling down the stairs and breaking your neck. Tragedy is when I get a paper-cut."

i thought i'd just make a compliment on how I feel this is a very aesthetically rich post. I also think the man on the pavement didnt have no serious problem. The Hindu are right, you see, these people are roaming philosophers. while in their lifetime they can produce no manuscripts it is their attitude to life, easy and accepting that they share, it is their system-revolting way of life that may seem interesting. See, they treasure such people, they respect them and help them and truly so, a compassion of such person, could turn around a life. Maybe its paranoid or schizophrenic or something else, but I really think that such people rule the world. Its irrational, I cant explain. Everybody's got his or her own version. This is mine.

i can see how people also compliment you listening skills. You know, it just manifests how rational our western civilization is? We are so centered on behaviour and words and rituals that we barely ever notice the people, behind the masks, their feelings. And you know what, if there are feelings, and you're open, you will feel them. thru practice or born talent. Dont matter. We should start feeling....
