More evidence of my isolation

     I've been growing a bunch of Sesame leaves outside, and I eat them almost every day with some kind of spicy meat. It's enjoyable... but it seems I'm the only one who eats them at home... I guess Korea's the only country in the world that eats large quantities of sesame leaves... in addition to a few other things I can't ever find in America ( Read more... )

The nail dye is pretty. When you say it's a Korea thing, do you mean it's a tradition or is it something popular to do in modern times (or both)? I've never heard of it before, and it looks cool.

It is said to be a traditional thing for girls to do in the summer (beucase thwat is when balsaminas bloom). The red dye was supposed to scare away evil spirits, but nowadays there's a modern twist to it about how if your nails hold their color until first snowfall, then your love will come true.
