Wow, I played this game years ago when the PC version was still in Beta testing, and the online was free. I never even considered looking for a free server, even though it was my favorite online RPG at the time. Thanks for telling about this, now I have something to waste my summer playing.

It should be noted that right now, the server is currently down. However, I anticipate it should be back up soon.

Also, do I know you from anywhere?

I really gotta get in on this. Is it hard to connect to it via the Game Cube?

Depends on what version of PSO you have for the 'cube. There's a detailed FAQ available over at the server site itself. Otherwise, if you want to try the new one for PC (Blue Burst, which contains a new episode in addition to the cube's Episode II content), contact me on AIM and I'll send you the install file for it.

Yeah, I think I'll just play Blue Burst from my laptop. Especially since I have an XBox controller for it.

Oh how I miss the days of playing PSO on the Dreamcast and GC. It really pissed me off when my GC caused my games to crash and I lost all my money in the game cause of it. So where exactly is this info about doing this??

Currently, they support Dreamcast v1 & v2, GC Eps. I & II, III and Plus, PC ver2 and Blue Burst. I personally play on Blue Burst and it's arguably the best version of PSO to date. Larger command cluster, Episode IV, more items and generally a more refined/polished feel. If you're gonna get back into the game, grab that.
