We were living in Chicago then, so I remember the Democratic Convention. My brother and I went to the protests, my father nearly had a heart attack when he found out :) He sympathized, but was scared to death that we'd get hurt. We were lucky, we also ran pretty fast.

These were some of my earliest memories of politics. First time I realized that my parents didn't know who they'd vote for; only who they'd vote against. For me, politics hasn't changed much in that regard.
