Darjeeling #22

Darjeeling is a classic tea style that I was apparently pronouncing incorrectly for some regions of India.

Some places it's dar JEEL ing, but some places it's DAR jeeling and sometimes as my tea compatriot stated DAR jell ing.

In any event, darjeeling is typically aromatic, with notes of flower or almost perfume mixed in with a brisk, medium astringency taste. A boring darjeeling can be acceptable, while a truly excellent one is sublime.

Today's was a full-leaf darjeeling from Adagio, their #22, probably a 'fancy' grade, by the pricing. I steeped it for around 4 minutes and shared it with our development manager. My descriptive vocabulary is just not operating today, all I can think is "tastes like darjeeling". Anyway, it's really good. I give it 8.5 out of 10.
