Note that whenever he's in a town he tends to juggle, which means "Party" is what he'll usually have with him when he travels and isn't near a Center to swap around more than anything.
Houndoom M "Baskerville" - Lvl. 96
Type: Dark/Fire
Egg Group: Field
Height: 58"/14.5 hands Weight: 400 kg/880 pounds
Ability: Early Bird (Heiji will never need an alarm clock again...)
Rash Nature, Quick Tempered
Moves known: Leer, Ember, Howl, Smog, Roar, Bite, Odor Sleuth, Thunder Fang, Beat Up, Fire Fang, Faint Attack, Embargo, Foul Play, Flamethrower, Crunch, Headbutt, Rock Smash, Nasty Plot, Sunny Day, Strength
"Bas" is Heiji's starter/partner; the nickname was one of those things that was just asking to be done. He evolved while out training around Violet - and grew into his name. As much as he's certainly got the howling and firebreathing part down, he's more the mentality of a high-energy service dog than anything; he's calmed down a little with the evolution, although he's still ... well, high-energy and WILL chase fast moving objects and occasionally raise a Hellish racket. Oh, also, don't try to threaten Heiji or anyone he's with. He's also been trained to scent-detect magician's tools, particularly the combination of magician's tools and disguise materials! Yes, Heiji trained a Kaitou Kid-tracking dog. Thanks to their visit to Olivine, Bas KNOWS that's the same scent he caught at the heist and that Kaito HAS to be Kid - but for SOME reason Yuki keeps "forgetting" to relay anything to make the message clear to Heiji...
Bas is also now Heiji's primary mode of transportation.
Ampharos F "Ree" - Lvl 100
Type: Electric
Egg Group: Monster/Ground
Height: 4'07" Weight: 135.6 lbs
Ability: Static
Careful Nature, Very Finicky
Moves Known: Tackle, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Growl, Thundershock, Thunder Wave, Cotton Spore, Charge, Discharge, Signal Beam, Light Screen, Power Gem, Thunder, Strength,
Inherited from Shiho when she left. Ree is Pokémom, and between her and Yuki, Heiji is pretty much doomed to be mothered by his own Pokémon. On the bright side, odds are good that as time goes on she might help get some of his team to settle down a little. She's currently still recovering from Shiho disappearing, and is getting fussed over a bit herself.
Pachirisu M "Momotaro" - Lvl 86
Type: Electric
Egg Group: Field/Fairy
Height: 1'04" Weight: 8.64 lbs
Ability: Pick Up
Jolly nature, Highly Curious
Moves known: Covet, Growl, Bide, Quick Attack, Spark, Endure, Swift, Electro Ball, Sweet Kiss, Thunder Wave, Super Fang, Last Resort, Thunderbolt
Hatched from the egg he got for Easter 2011. Momotaro is cute, friendly, loves everyone, and happy to help! He also loves shiny and interesting objects, and has decided the ~best~ way to help is to bring those home, because everyone loves shiny things, right?
This is already shaping up to be a scourge on Heiji's sanity. It's getting worse now that Pick-Up has fully kicked in, which means that sometimes, Momo just ... comes up with things. Things that come out of thin air. Between that and Covet, Heiji's pockets and backpack are doomed to be sheer chaos.
Jynx F "Yuki" - Lvl 86
Type: Ice/Psychic
Egg Group: Human-like
Height: 4'07" Weight: 87 lbs
Ability: Forewarn
Gentle nature, Mischievous
Moves known: Pound, Lick, Sweet Kiss, Powder Snow, Confusion, Sing, Heart Stamp, Mean Look, Fake Tears, Wake-Up Slap, Avalanche, Wring Out, Perish Song, Blizzard
Originally Akako's starter; when Akako was sent home, the pokémon went for the nearest, most familiar person - which happened to be Heiji. She's cheerful and fairly intelligent, if overly friendly and affectionate, particularly to guys...
She has also decided that it's her job to record/broadcast half of what Heiji does, neatly taking over a surrogate role for his mother's goal to try to keep recordings of as much of Heiji's life as possible. Thanks to her previous affiliations with Akako, she ADORES Kaito, and will pointedly refuse to help on heists or do anything that would compromise Kaito's secret identity.
Garchomp F "Wani" - lvl 72
Height: 6'10" Weight: ~400 lbs
Type: Dragon/Ground
Egg Group: Monster/Dragon
Ability: Sand Veil
Adamant nature, Proud of its power
Moves: Tackle, Sand Attack, Dragon Rage, Cut, Rock Smash, Take Down, Sand Tomb, Slash, Dragon Claw, Dig, Crunch, Fire Fang, Sandstorm, Strength, Dragon Rush, Surf
Bought from Souji's center on 7/12, hatched on 7/23. While she isn't high-strung, she's currently attempting to re-define "stubborn", and acts ... well, like some of the classical Western dragons in miniature - complete with hoarding instincts and the ego. Veeerrry protective, of both Heiji and his stuff, although sometimes the hoard instinct takes some coaxing. Evolved 0n 8/23 while en route to New Bark, then 10/2 in Goldenrod.
Aerodactyl M "Basan" - Lvl 58
Type: Rock/Flying
Egg Group: Flying
Ability: Rock Head
Naughty nature, Somewhat of a Clown
Moves: Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Wing Attack, Supersonic, Bite, Scary Face, Roar, Headbutt, Rock Smash, Agility, Ancientpower, Crunch, Strength, Fly, Hyper Beam
Bought from Souji's breeding center on 7/12, hatched on 7/21. Heiji had been a little worried thanks to hearing about Riku's Terror ... And then the egg hatched. And he found that, if anything, he should be worried about what the Aerodactyl would get into. If anyone's seen the National Geographic video of the Caracaras demolishing the photographer's camp, taking the tent apart, and playing in the toilet paper, that's Basan. He'll listen perfectly well on important things, but otherwise is more interested in what he can get into and goofing off. (He almost was named Itsumaden ... but sticking his head in the backpack right after hatching and running around with it meant a last-minute change from being named after an ominous spirit of retribution, to being named after a fire-breathing chicken.)
Box
Honchkrow M "Sojobo" - Lvl 87
Type: Dark/Flying
Egg Group: Flying
Height: 2'11" Weight: 12 lbs
Ability: Super Luck
Serious nature, Thoroughly cunning
Moves known: Peck, Astonish, Pursuit, Haze, Wing Attack, Night Shade, Assurance, Taunt, Faint Attack, Night Slash, Dark Pulse
He was almost named Gin.
Sojobo was doing pretty well for himself and had picked up a lower-level partner that he was working in tandem with; around when certain omens started drawing them into cities before the Shedinja event, he'd discovered they could get a pretty good racket going by spooking people who were coming out of restaurants into ditching their food. This went a little awry when Bas decided that OBVIOUSLY them creeping on Heiji was a challenge, and managed to abuse the Hell out of Dark attacks not working that well on him. Considering that he now gets fed and looked after, he doesn't consider this that bad a deal. He's begun to be a bad influence on Momotaro, although Heiji's coming up with uses for it.
Evolved 8/3 in Goldenrod, after Heiji caught him trying to filch a Dusk Stone and just paid for it; Heiji now has a crow the size of a harpy eagle.
Yanmega F "Kaguya" - Lvl. 56
Type: Bug/Flying
Egg Group: Bug
Length: 6'03" Weight: 180 pounds
Ability: Compound Eyes
Timid Nature, Scatters things often
Moves known: Tackle, Foresight, Quick Attack, Ancient Power, Night Slash, Bug Bite, Doubleteam, Sonic Boom, Detect, Supersonic, Uproar, Pursuit, Slash, Screech, U-Turn, Air Slash, Bug Buzz
One of the two he caught during the massive swarm/battle set off by Tarantulas. Now that the signal's worn off, Kaguya's skittish and has next to no attention span, but is otherwise friendly - although she is timid and not likely to hold still for strange people or pokémon. Besides the minor anxiety and occasional bouts of skittishness, she seems to have rebounded fairly well from her early training, and is now a clumsy giant dragonfly/jet engine crossbreed who is easily distracted by shiny objects and easily startled by loud noises. NOTHING CAN GO WRONG WITH THAT, RIGHT? He's built a flight harness that allows her to carry him hangglider-style for chasing Kid on heists, but her attention span issues and tendency to get easily startled make her ... not ideal transportation for more than Sudowoodo-jumping and getting to things out of reach, even if Yanmega COULD learn Fly. It also makes the original "chase Kid from the air" plan ineffective, since all it really takes is one good smoke bomb or set of bright flashing lights.
Pidgeot M - "Cielo" lvl 100
Type: Normal/Flying
Egg group: Flying
Height: 5'8" Weight: 115 lb
Ability: Keen Eye
Mild Nature, Likes to Relax
Moves Known: Fly, Tackle, Sand Attack, Gust, Quick Attack, Whirlwind, Twister, Featherdance, Agility, Wing Attack, Roost, Tailwind, Mirror Move, Air Slash
Originally Shiho's. Cielo is generally helpful, calm, non-aggressive, and friendly; he's one of the quieter ones Heiji owns, really. Of course, on the flipside of that, as fast as he is to be helpful in emergencies, outside of pressing situations he doesn't always like to do a great deal of work, so even though Cielo knows Fly, Shiho's ended up hoofing it anyway several times, and Heiji's not going to force the issue either, which means that outside of something where there's a reason to Be There ASAP Heiji's ...probably still taking Bas.
Mightyena F - "Fusuhime" lvl 43
Type: Dark
Egg Group: Field
Height: 3'03" Weight: 145 lbs
Ability: Quick Feet
Adamant Nature, Quick Tempered
Moves Known: Tackle, Howl, Sand Attack, Bite, Odor Sleuth, Roar, Swagger, Strength, Rock Smash, Swagger, Assurance, Scary Face, Taunt
Originally Kazuha's starter. Unfortunately for Heiji, Fusuhime's going to be trying to carry on in Kazuha's stead, and isn't exactly the easiest one for him to command - not that she gets into trouble exactly, as that there's a distinct " :P Stupid boy" mixed with "And my first master was so Alpha here" going on. She also has a crush on Bas, which is sure to make Heiji's life interesting in the future. (aka, anybody want utterly terrifying Poochyena eggs now and then?)
Growlithe M "Shishi" - lvl 11
Type: Fire
Egg Group: Field
Height: Weight:
Ability: Intimidate
Moves Known: Crunch, Flamethrower, Heat Wave, Flare Blitz, Fire Blast, Strength, Rock Smash, Ember, Leer
Bought from Xanxus in October as an egg. Bright, active, and very energetic puppy - of the sort that needs to be doing something or else he'll be driving people up the wall. Not the greatest on long-term memory or cause-effect more than a couple steps ahead.
He now periodically ends up with Poochyena eggs! They're kinda murder-mon ish, and start with the following egg moves:
Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Headbutt, Strength, Rock Smash, Dig, Sunny Day!
They cost 3K, or he's willing to give them away to new arrivals (anybody who hasn't reached Violet yet); deliveries are run by Sojobo, who being the Gin-crow that he is, will be PERFECTLY RELIABLE in completing his Mission, but may try to intimidate/terrorize/steal food from people he's delivering to. If you're interested, ping me one way or another (PM, IM, Plurk, whatever) to check when he's in towns to end up with this!
Mostly default inventory, plus his omamori and baseball cap...
A bit sunk into a first aid kit and a lot of bandages.
A bunch of random magician's tricks, flashpowder, disguise stuff, and basic explosives, for scent-training.
Some eviscerated climbing gear that's been repurposed into a flight harness for Kaguya, the layout loosely based off a hang-glider's harness; she's not good for long-distance transportation, but is good for getting past some obstacles and chasing certain thieves.
A saddle for Baskerville, because riding something with that many bone ridges is kind-of masochistic.
A shinai and a basic set of kendo pads that're in a duffel bag; that's usually either carried over his shoulder or by Bas.
A set of heavy leather gloves in case of future incidences of less than friendly pokémon.

Also yes, disclaimer, I am taking the canon heights for Pokemon and checking against real animals since Bas would have to be made of broomsticks and papier mache to weigh 77 pounds; a real Great Dane that's 36 inches tall weighs 140-150, and Houndoom are almost/about the height of an Arabian horse, which's what his weight is based off of.
