Hey I think you did pretty good for someone with no training whatsoever. You brought the ship back mostly intact and didn't get anyone killed. I'd say for a first command that's pretty good considering the circumstances.

Yeah. You might not have a great grasp of tactics and you might not have been able to organize us. But you trusted us to do our jobs and delegated to the people you knew could do what you couldn't. Those are important things in a leader as well.

And as I said, the circumstances were pretty terrible. We were fighting over the sea, with Mecha that weren't designed primarily for water combat. You yourself in particular have little experience with combat over the sea. Furthermore we were fighting things that were designed specifically for undersea combat with only relatively flimsy boats for footing.

I would definitely get some training before you try to command again. But that's a fault of the top brass for sending you out in command of a mission that you were not at all prepared for. Not any fault of yours...

Besides, results matter right? Compare that to a lot of our more recent missions and it went spectacularly. Not a single mech of ours was heavily damaged.
