Fun and touching photoshoot

I really enjoyed this blog post by a fellow Mary fan who took pictures of her daughter in iconic Mary poses. She has a moving personal story and good points about the need for more heroes for little girls, plus the pictures are super cute. http://greenawaltfamilylife.blogspot.com/2013/09/mini-mary-mito-awareness-more.html

Ok, I understand what you are saying. On the other hand, she says specifically that her daughter does not watch BSG, no more than her son or many little boys dressing up in Spiderman costumes watch the Spiderman movies. I think she has a good point about there not being enough non-princess themed role models. Marvel this year was selling t-shirts for men/boys that said, "I am a hero" and for women/girls that said "I need a hero" (i.e., to rescue them). Sure dressing her daughter up like Susan B. Anthony or Amelia Earhart or Hilary Clinton would have made the same point, probably with a broader appeal. Sure she would like some MM attention. Same is true for most big fans. Since she has two children with life-threatening diseases, I'm not going to begrudge her that.

Awe this is so sweet!
Mini cos play, hey adults do it right?;)
And the mom was very specific that her daughter did not watch the shows:) which I was concerned about before I read the whole article.
And she did an awesome job keeping the focus of the blog about her dyeing daughters disease and did exactly what she said "raise awareness about mitochondrial disease"
Her cute kid will bring awareness to lots of families!
Maybe Mary will see it and do like she did with autism speaks! And this moms one adorable blog post could end up helping a lot of people!
