That chapter was really worth the wait. I expected Bones to freak out, but I'm glad he didn't. He handled the whole thing exactly right. I don't think Jim could have handled it if Bones had immediately tried to fix him. I predict that Bones is going to pick up a psychiatric specialty while at the academy, though.

Oh my goodness I just sat down and read the whole thing for the first time and I was really impressed I love the idea of this and the execution was just as good which is far more rare. I love all the personalities and cannot wait to see what happens next.
Forgive the one small critique but on more than one occasion you spelled the word whether (as in whether or not) wrong and spelled it weather. Sorry Lit major's can't help themselves.

That moment at the end is powerful. Jim is offensively on the defense, and he reminds me of a threatened animal when he pins Bones. But Leonard handles it beautifully. Loved that part.
