this one time it wasnt exactly an apartment complex but this dude who was at custer's last stand and i was always like omfg i wonder what he is doing, his life sounded really fun he was always listening to music loudly and going out late and sometimes i smelled some alcohol, even more interesting were this wigged out bros who lived near by, i think they were elves or something but i can't be sure... some of them would howl on the back stoop at all hours.. i wish i'd had the guts to introduce myself

when i used to live at camp blackbird, there was this little 2-bedroom apartment above the garage. the 2 people who lived there were crazy. one of them didn't leave the house much; i think she just stayed inside and read books and watched Curb Your Enthusiasm. i smelled pot sometimes; maybe she had glaucoma or something. and the other one used to stagger home drunk every night about 4 in the morning. i always tried to get back inside the house and lock the doors when he showed up, but sometimes he cornered me and started screaming about economic disparities in developing nations, or about how girls didn't like him.

i heard they both fled the country. i'm sure there were shady dealings going down in that garage.

little kid neighbors used to come color pictures at our old apartment, but we never knew their parents. these days though, the neighbors that share our duplex aren't very friendly at all. i say hello and they usually look the other way. very strange if you ask me. how do people ignore their neighbors? but i do wonder what they do. they rarely leave and they rarely come outside...
