I can't actually play as anything OTHER than a goody-two-shoes, except for temporary one-off sequences in which I kill off entire towns of guards who think one sweetroll is worth dying for. But those sequences never get saved, they're just for when I'm exhausted and not into thinking much.

the problem is I wanted to do the Dark Brotherhood quest to get Shadowmere (think of an evil version of LOTR's Shadowfax) and do the Thieves Guild quest line. Both require stealing and murdering.

Not to mention the numerous Daedric quests that require killings. Heck in one you go into a house and the only way to get out is to kill the person you came in with

True, but those quests I simply can't DO. My idea of "completing" the Dark Brotherhood quest was the one in which I am offered the chance to join and instead kill off the leader and free their victims (some of which appreciate it, at least), and then go on to wipe out the entire order of assassins.

The dark brotherhood story arc had to be the most interesting of the bunch. some good plot twists and dialogue. I did try to complete it without getting caught, a bit more challenging. tho it is virtually impossible when you try to kill the Emperor as a cook. and nigh impossible when you try to kill the bride (but i did do it with an bow and invisibility potion.

Normally I would not play an evil character. If i put moral restrictions on my character i find I have more challenging and enjoyable time. Some people when they play they love not having to follow any rules or laws and just go on a rampage since it is easy and requires no effort

Tho i have to ask the game designers, when you start out in the game, The Empire decides to execute you for no other reason then you are a prisoner. Why would you find any sympathy for the Empire in the rebellion?
