i desperately need to get my dog to the groomers.  my floor looks like a sea of dog hair...and i've vacuumed twice in the past week (i finally broke down and bought a vacuum, that's how bad it was getting).

that's it. i knew it was a band i knew of, but couldn't quite place it. for some reason i was thinking goldfinger because they're coming to town next week, but i knew it didn't sound right.

i honestly just don't think i'm ready to go back to school for another three years. it's a scary thought, but what's just as scary is the idea of being in the real world, which i guess i'm just in denial about at the moment.

out of curiousity, which songs on the mix would you have reconsidered? i love criticism/feedback on mixes i make.

i'm not a huge bright eyes fan, most of his stuff is to whiny (and yet i still have most of his cds), but that song is actually quite good. it also has a lot of meaning to me. belle and sebastian was more of a joke for him because we spent an entire evening one night watching his belle and sebastian dvd and making fun of the whole thing. as for my morning jacket, most of the stuff i can't get into, but that was a really cool song. i basically wanted to put some stuff on there that hopefully he hadn't heard of, because i know he's heard of a lot of stuff that i haven't.
but i really do appreciate the feedback.
as for the bands you haven't heard of, i don't know which ones they are, but i would recommend to check them out. although as far as some of the bands go, i picked the only song of theirs that i actually like and fit well into the mix (such as the bright eyes or the my morning jacket songs).
