I've got my 1 month review at work today. I've been here 5.5 weeks and have already put in about 36 hours overtime. I don't know when I can start my Christmas holidays either, but I do know I'm going to need them, mostly because this month's milestone is being moved forward all the time, and more 12 hour days beckon. I will be around from the 22/12 till 03/01 for definite - I'm just trying to get 2 extra days off at the start of Christmas week, so I'll definitely be available for catching up at some point! :)

Poor You!!!

I know that management feeling so, so well! You go in thinking 'right, things are gonna change around here!' (well for a milli-second you do), but then reality smacks you in the face and it's exactly like you said.

Chin up though, it could just be a stepping stone to something bigger. And to be fair, I think it's only middle management which is like this, it's gotta get easier the higher up you go.....

I like the way you think, Lady :) Soon I will be all powerful and then everybody had better cower before me, lest I smite them with my big Senior Management Smiting Stick (TM)...well, I can always dream.

On a lighter note, my review this afternoon was incredibly positive (they think I rulez), so I've been wheedling for a payrise already, hehehe.
