01 What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Bought a house. Went to Leamington Spa and attained the high office of management.
02 Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
The only new year's resolution I made to myself was "Don't die", which I've managed to achieve so far, although there are some days left in the year, so who knows?
03 Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yeesh no! If they had, I'd be the first one running for the door spewing vomit everywhere. Birth is nasty, and just because it's happened billions of times before, doesn't make it either beautiful or a miracle.
04 Did anyone close to you die?
Not really close to me, no. I got very upset about John peel though.
05 What countries did you visit?
This year? None!
06 What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
A dog. A big, snuffly, furry, lovable dog.
Or a wolf. That would be cool too (for releasing on people).
07 What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
4th July: moved into our new house
28th July: last payday from Acclaim
28th August: Acclaim goes bankrupt
1 November: 1st day at Blitz Games
08 What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Not dying or having a nervous breakdown despite life trying very hard to make it so.
09 What was your biggest failure?
Not seeing the whole Acclaim thing coming. Doh!
10 Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had RSI, which is still a bit niggly, actually.
11 What was the best thing you bought?
The house!
12 Whose behavior merited celebration?
Barley, the in-law's dog. She's just ace.
13 Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
A certain Greg Fischbach, CEO and Ueberprick of Acclaim USA.
14 Where did most of your money go?
Keeping the house afloat whilst payday didn't happen for a very long time.
15 What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The house (again, sorry) and getting a new job.
16 What song will always remind you of 2004?
Nothing, I intend to forget this year as soon as I can.
17 Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? Sadder, probably.
b) thinner or fatter? Vaguely fatter, but that happens every year.
c) richer or poorer? Decidedly poorer, thanks for reminding me, you twat.
18 What do you wish you'd done more of?
Taking holidays, sickies, stealing from, and generally been absent from work more often.
19 What do you wish you'd done less of?
Smoke, its not good for me and my new year's resolution of not dying.
20 How will you be spending Christmas?
At home with the poeple I love very much. Sweet!
21 There is no question 21
Why not? I demand a question 21!!
22 Did you fall in love in 2004?
Well, only if you count falling in love with the same person again, which is way too soppy for this.
23 How many one-night stands?
None! As if?!
24 What was your favorite TV program?
The Long Way Round with Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman. Fucking fantastic!
25 Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Yes. Mr Fischbach and anyone connected with Acclaim management.
26 What was the best book you read?
Hands down: Going Postal by Terry Pratchett.
27 What was your greatest musical discovery?
I have made no musical discoveries this year.
28 What did you want and get?
I wanted a house, an I got one. Woo!
29 What did you want and not get?
Wanted to settle down. Got a big fat "Fuck Off" on that score.
30 What was your favorite film of this year?
That would probably be The Village, although there were many good films this year.
31 What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I haven't had my birthday yet ( 15 days to go), but I will be *too old*, I mean 32.
32 What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Being rich and thin.
33 How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
What am i - ghey? I have no personal fashion concept, you fuckwit.
34 What kept you sane?
Jim and nicotine.
35 Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
None this year much, although Orlando Bloom is still easy on the eyes.
36 What political issue stirred you the most?
The continued North Korean nuclear stand-off.
37 Who did you miss?
My mum. There were times this year when I wanted her very much indeed.
38 Who was the best new person you met?
All of my new team mates at work. They're a super-friendly bunch of guys :)
39 Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
Never put off anything you really want to do, because you're worried about "What if". "What if" generally happens anyway, and there's bugger all you can do about it. Amazingly you'll survive, and be glad you took the plunge, despite all that happened.
Oh, and management = farce.
