Please, if you're going to do this, do it right.

If you really want to send a message to the Sun, do it through the advertising. Follow these steps:
1. Make a list of all the companies that advertise in the Sun.

3. Call those companies to tell them that you are boycotting them, because they advertise in the Sun, and because ( Read more... )

Of course, just don't use my name.

Other things I would suggest:
In the facebook description, don't link to the picture. As has been stated elsewhere, this will just give it more publicity and give them reason to think that such photos are good business sense.
Instead, clearly articulate what the picture was, and why you found it offensive. Take down the link.

Also, find the information for people. Write a form letter, and post it for people to use. Find the relevant phone numbers and emails, etc, and post that as well. Ideally, every person at the sun should recieve both a letter and a phone call from each person who is offended.

Make a list of the advertisers. Post that too, with relevent contact information and cover letter.

Yes, this is basic strategy, which you need to think about *before* starting a campaign. Otherwise, people will write you off as just another flake.
So please, the next time you want to effect change, think about how you are going to do it first.

Currently there is a facebook group saying the equivelant of "argh, this angers me," with a link to the offending photo. So this tactic doesn't do anything to disuade the Sun from doing such things in the future, it, in fact, gives them more publicity.
