Does anyone on this list remember when the back and forth audience "dance" to the Wabash Cannonball began? Dr. Tracz told The Mercury that it began "a dozen or so years ago" but I was a freshman in 1992 and I think it was already going strong then.

I don't know either, I think that the Wabash Dance must have been around longer then that because the song has been our "Second" fight song since the late 60's... just checked 1968. It became our fight song after an arsenist burnt Nichols Hall to the ground and the Wabash was the only suriving piece of music.

So I'm going to vote that it has at the very least, been around since the mid to late 80's
