I recently came back from the Sapporo Snow Festival waaaay up on the northernmost island of Japan called Hokkaido! The trip had its emotional ups and downs, but the visit itself was pretty awesome. The emotional ups and downs were as follows: Glen and I break up the first night we are there, and then proceed to get back together on our last night

i just got back to Tokushima from Hokkaido an hour ago. We stayed at the Sheraton (but the Shin-Sapporo one, with no breakfast included, so maybe it was a different one?).

I'm bummed we didnt realize we were going to be there at the same time...we could have met up for a drink or something! SHEESH! Bad form, all around :(

those sculptures are so beautiful! i have such a hard time picture the army making them. does one go into the army hoping for this job?!
