Soccer and Pound

 I just came back from a soccer game (er... football game) against a German team.  The lowest ranked German team in the league we might play in next year.  They were high school kids.   And we kinda lost/drew (the scorer of the random goal in the last minute was technically off-sides but it was a friendly so we let them have it).  We're kinda ( Read more... )

Yeah he's dead. But maybe he was a nice guy, just had confused/questionable morals. He helped get a lot of other famous poets published, like T. S. Elliot.

I want him to be Ezra Pound Cake. Maybe as part of your presentation you could make some Ezra Pound Cake for your class. Germans like cake, I think.

I like it. I also like it how, in this post of things that don't apply very directly to your life (soccer, poetry, Germany) you MADE it fit by adding cake, which you'd probably eat for breakfast if you could.

i love it- pax tanitana. also, this post makes me think of duplicitous bodies somehow. did you ever get the email I sent you? I like to think of it as my birthday wish even though I didn't say happy birthday in it.

Yes, I did, and even though you sent it to me back in September, I suppose it still counts because I haven't yet replied to it!

Man I wish you were in my classes again. We'd have so much fun. I was thinking of Moll Flanders and Evelina and Pamela and their duplicitous bodies (and mine and Bruce Springsteen's ) in class the other day, too!

Good to hear yr still playing soccer against children....do you play with the same team every week? And as for Pound-o san, I used to be bored of him too....but if he helped TS Eliot get famous, then he's okay with me.
