Bikram yoga.  Everyone should try it.  Tomorrow, or now, anyway ASAP.

I know Courtney is a fan, at least last time I checked.  But I feel so excellent right now after that class of yoga at 38 degrees C.  And two glasses of wine.  But no, the yoga... seriously cleansing.  I happened upon an awesome deal in this swanky studio in Munich where I pay 10 ( Read more... )

I miss hot yoga more than I like to admit, but I can't afford a class pass right now. Court took me to my 1st Bikram class at some point (in which I survived until the end, when I stood up too fast & dry-heaved into the bushes outside. Awesome.) The only downside is that all the instructors I've experienced have been a little too heavy-handed.

I tried Moksha yoga (developed by two Canadians) - & loved it! It includes more sun salutations & more available adaptations depending on your needs. Also, it was a bit more "listen to your body's needs" & less "work through the pain" - which is good for me. I also found out that they use slightly more heat (40 C)

Uhm, anyhow. Long comment. Yay hot yoga!

Hey! This is what I wanted to do in Japan at that one place we passed! If only Carrie were the yogic type. Someday, Bikram, you and I will make beautiful music together. It will probably sound like grunting, but that's okay.

I'd really like to try Bikram yoga...sounds great. I just took a normal yoga class yesterday at my gym and it was great---I'd love to mix it up though. Yoga is a challenging, yet strangely relaxing. Maybe if/when I move to Philly, I can take some classes in the city...AND when I come to germany to visit you...
