You know, I've heard that said by surprising sources, and I've never understood why someone would say that. How can any feeling person not fall in love with a child that needs a caring and loving home? I believe quite strongly in adoption, and I rather wish it wasn't quite so difficult for some to adopt. Of course, on the flipside of that, it's always heart breaking to see a parent abuse a child, but that's a whole nother topic. At any rate, this was lovely, your parents did a wonderful job with you.

I've always thought that was kind of bullshit myself; it's like the whole thing where people have kids to be like artifact versions of themselves instead of just to raise a child. I might have adopted if I hadn't had Anna, although I probably wouldn't have because kids were the last thing on my mind at that point, and god knows where or what I'd be doing now if that were the case, but haha I am losing my point. I'm not even sure I had one anyway. But your parents were very nice and it's obvious just from watching you with them how close and how comfortable and easy things are between you and them. That always seems a little like a miracle to me when I see it. Oooh, texts, I am coming up with some doozies as we speak. I will have to come join you in your mood.

Haha, those types of people are probably the ones we want to reproduce the least, in my opinion, anyway! I would adopt if I had kids but I still haven't decided whether I want to or not. They thought you were really great, and told me to tell you that you're welcome back anytime! But yeah, I have a lot of respect and love for my parents; they're much more like friends than family a lot of the time. Haha I cannot wait and I am so glad you did. More, please.
