John Egbert is your average, movie-loving, friend caring, 13 year old prankster. He loves all kinds of different things such as practical jokes, mangas, ghosts, and above all; movies. Of course his friends are his utmost concern. If he were in the middle of watching Con Air and Dave just happened to have to be rushed to the hospital for gog knows what, he would choose seeing Dave before finishing the movie. After all, you can always use the pause button.
Even though he loves a lot of things, there are a couple of things he simply can not stand.
Such as Betty Crocker products. Yes, Betty Crocker; his great nemesis. If he were a troll, I'm pretty sure his kismesis would be the Betty Crocker company because that is how much he hates the brand. His father happens to love baking with mostly Betty Crocker products though so John never gets a break. He also seems to overreact to some things such as when he found out that his father wasn't a street jester; rather he was just an average business man, John curled up into a fetal position for many minutes.
Aside from being a crazed movie fan and a baked goods hater, John can be quite silly at times and brave. For example, him and Jade have silly conversations all of the time! And don't forget that he pulls pranks and cracks jokes at appropriate times. As for being brave, John constantly fights off imps in LOWAS so he can get grist and better weapons for the big bad guys. He has little spurts of bravery here and there such as when he was left alone on top of his roof and two giant ogres appeared. He practically put his life on the line by trying to take those things out with his pogo hammer.
Another fact about John is that he can be a little absent minded at times and he can get confused easy enough. For example, he has spaced out at least 3 times in the comic. Like recently, he spent minutes, hours, maybe even days watching clouds. Yeah, the clouds had different images in each one but he still spent a lot of time just cloud gazing. A good example of him getting confused easily is when the Wayward Vagabond talked to him the first time. He asked John a couple of questions and John was soon very confused because not only was Rose pestering him about many things, but he had a voice in his head telling him to get the can opener.
John Egbert is all in all a good guy and a great friend. He shows concern for his pals even if they've been a douche to him in the past. Like when Karkat recently contacted him and apologized for being an ass. Now, we all know how much of a douche Karkat is to everyone but none of that stopped John from being worried after Karkat ceased trolling him. So he attempted pestering him to see what was up but sadly for John, it was the wrong Karkat so rather than Karkat telling him that he was fine like John wanted, he instead got a helping of "hatred" served on a platter of 'FUCK YOU'.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Strengths:
1. He's strong enough to fling around a hammer made of two irons. That's honestly kind of strong.
2. He can persuade people with his charming good looks and his great personality. (He's just adorable so it's hard to say no.)
3. He can kindly refuse if someone's offering him something strange. Like kismesistude with Karkat. He politely told Karkat that he wasn't a homosexual and they moved on with their lives.
4. He can do the Windything. As in he can make giant gusts of wind and in God Tier mode, he can control were the wind is blowing.
5. He is honestly pretty smart.
Weaknessses:
1. He has a severe peanut allergy so he can't eat any at all.
2. He's very naive and optimistic, which can be a bad thing in serious situations.
3. He always wants to believe the best in others, even if all evidence points otherwise.
4. He lets his emotions rule him rather than his mind.
5. He has a bit of self esteem issues. His dreams personify his subconscious and in his dream room, LAME KID was written on the wall, hinting that he thinks a little lowly of himself.
[ Other Important Facts ] :
Since he is now Godtier, he can use something we like to call the Windything. He can controll wind and make powerful gusts. He also is immortal unless he gets killed for doing something heroic or unless his death was just.
