I think I need to just accept that my birthday is cursed and learn to stop caring. I have had one good birthday that I can remember and the rest have ranged between mediocre and downright bad. My birthday always fails. Not even a paid trip to Vegas can save the curse that is my birthday. Birthday curse wins. The years before that when I tried to ( Read more... )

Then don't call it a Birthday party. Call it 'Celebration of Life with Good Friends' Party, thus bypassing the curse with the loophole I made up 5 seconds ago.

Sadly I have no faith in that working either. The tendency of most people I know to flake out or not make time for me is the underlying problem. It is a curse mainly because it's the one time a year I usually make the effort to try to get people out. Even then it fails.

I will just have to become one of those jaded old people that skips their birthdays entirely it seems ~

I'm actually not planning anything this year. My plans generally fail. Others are, but wanted a possible guest list so they could plan properly.. and I just lost it a little and started bawling at work because a lot of my friends don't bother to make the effort for me so I'd be setting myself up for disappointment either way. We'll see though, if they still plan something, you're invited <3

omg, that'd be crazy. STREAMERS! But like I told Stan up there, I'm not planning anything because my plans for my own birthdays are always made of suck. So friends are trying to take over this year. If they still plan something, you two are invited at least <3
