“Alright, now you're ready” the woman said, tucking the tuque further on the little boy's face
“Mom” he whined “I don't wanna play with him!”
“Yunho, I'm sure that he's really nice”
She arranged the thick winter coat one last time before opening the door.
“Now, be a good boy and go greet him” she said
Yunho pouted and stepped outside on the snowy ground. He was mad at his mother and he just didn't want to play with the other boy.
Kim Jaejoong and his family moved in front of their house last week. Everyone at school was excited about the new kid, but they quickly got bored by his cold personality. When Yunho, who is the most popular kid of the school, invited him to eat with them, the pretty boy rejected the invitation. No one ever rejected him! After this, Yunho was so insulted that he officially decided that he didn't like the kid.
That's why he was now crossing the road with an angry expression. He went to the front door and knocked. Few moments later, Mrs. Kim was there with a big smile on his face.
“Hello dear!” she said “Jaejoong sweetie don't hide yourself, your friend is here”
The younger boy appeared in the entrance, his cheeks were bright red due to his warm outfit.
“We're going then. Later mom” he said
“Be careful” she said before closing the door behind them
There was an awkward silence between the two and Yunho avoided eye contact. He was surprised when a hand grabbed his arm and lead him to the backyard.
“Yah! What are you doing!?” Yunho asked irritated
“What do you think?” Jaejoong replied
Once he was set free, the boy crossed his arms in front his chest. Jaejoong looked at him with confused eyes.
“I won't play with you” he said firmly
“I have better idea than playing”
“What is it?”
Jaejoong grinned and walked away. He crouched down few steps later and before Yunho could do anything, a huge snowball landed on his nose. He let out a high pitched squeal. Jaejoong's laugh echoed in the empty air, making Yunho blushed at the sweet sound.
“Eh? Why are you red Yunho?” Jaejoong asked with a smile
“You-” Yunho's sentence was cut off by an other snowball
This time the boy didn't loose time to answer the attack. The ball hit Jaejoong's shoulder, making the younger laugh at his poor skill. They fight that way for about an hour. Laughter and screams could be heard in the whole neighbourhood. The sky was getting darker when Yunho said he should be going back. Yunho was about to head toward the street when Jaejoong called him.
“Ah! Wait!” he said running clumsily in the snow
Yunho turned to see Jaejoong falling on him. His eyes widened when he saw Jaejoong's face so close to his.
“Uhm...Did you have something to say?” Yunho asked looking away
“Oh, yeah” he said straightening himself on the other's lap “You'll come to play again, right?”
Yunho nodded and a smile grew on his face. Just when Yunho thought that his heartbeat couldn't increase more than it already did, Jaejoong leant forward and left a quick peck on his cheek. At that moment, even with the cold weather, the young boy felt warmer than ever.
