Noatak's eyes widen, and the man falls.

Twitching, ignoring the burning in his veins, he hoists himself to his feet, and fiddles with his shirt sleeves to avoid looking at Amon as he calculates how quickly he can get to the cabinet where he hid his kali sticks, just in case. "You're awake," he mumbles, unnecessarily.

"Tarrlok? No sign of him." The cell had been empty... The Lieutenant secretly suspects the Avatar let him out, because where else would she have learned the things she did? He slumps down in his seat, resting his arms on his knees and watching Amon through narrowed eyes.

Why was he the one to survive--
"Where am I?" he asks, hoarsely.
And it's beginning to sink in that he's used bloodbending on the Lieutenant, and not for the first time. He can't think about that, not now.
