They're walking along, just idly exploring the corridors, and Noatak is almost pathetically glad for it. He'd missed his trust, his companionship. Missed him.

"Good job," he says after a cautious glance around. "Whatever it is, I already like it better than the room with the afro circus and that little yellow weirdo who wouldn't stop laughing at me and all your awful jokes."

"It smells good," he says, nodding towards the tea. "I don't trust it, but I want to."
Noatak blinks. That...wasn't what he was going to say, was it?

With the sudden feeling that he does not like this room, Lu Ten turns around and- "The door's gone. This is the part where the giant millipede croc jumps out at us, right?"

"There's no place for one to hide," is what he means to say.
What he actually says is, "I certainly hope not. I've been scared of them since I moved to the city."
Noatak's eyes widen.
You know what, he does not like this room either.

Okay, now he turns back toward Noatak, raising his eyebrows. "That is adorable. You know they don't actually exist, right?" ...well, that was mostly what he wanted to say, anyway.
