Isn't it funny how that works? I always get nervous before those sorts of things and then it turns out, oh hey, I do do things well, actually.

And the funny thing is that I'm usually not nervous anymore about them because I'm always like, "well, cool, here's a chance for me to get better!" but for some reason this time I was all worried. go figure.

ALSO! We finally finished your letter. I'm so sorry it's taken so long -- this past 8 weeks have been sort of insane with the amount of crap we've had to do, so we kept having to put it off. :( But I'm going to mail it tomorrow, so it might get to you before you guys finish for the holidays, but it might not. :(

We got your letter on Monday! They were very fascinated. I think they still have trouble understanding where you are, lol. We will have to get out the map again. But they are excited to write you back (they were yelling out answers to your questions as I read them) and I think they want to tell you everything we have done ever. ("Tell them we like Kevin Henkes books now too!")

We'll write you back after the holiday break, and if you still don't have any snow (not that we have much either), maybe we will make you some. :) ♥!

Awww, man, I always worry that my teachers are anxious before their evaluations but I take comfort in the fact that when we meet they'll discover how much I support and enjoy them, even the ones where conferences might be difficult. I'm so glad you had such a great meeting!!

I have the fic on my kindle but haven't had time to read yet. :((((

I'm usually not to be honest, but everyone's been so stressed and so focused on A and B and C and D and the bottom line, so I think it was cutting into my trust in myself that I watch the kids and do what's best for them. So I guess I just got caught up in that mindset.
