ひさしぶりだよね, エルジェイ-さん. 日本語でエルジェイ-ポストを書きますから書いたことがありません. でも, 日本語が下手です. 英語を書きます.

I figure that since it's been a month since anything real post, I should update again. So, a cut for courtesy.

Our top story tonight, Valentines Day has come once more and everyone around seems to be getting into the spirit. From cookies to cakes, red hearts will be everywhere tomorrow. But it seems not all are pleased. In an act of rebellion, all of the singles will be gathering to discuss plans that may change their lives. Plans that will surely involve the mass consumption of food and drink over pleasant conversation. We'll get you more on this story as the information comes in. Our man on the inside will actually attend this event to give you all of the late-breaking details. Now, over to sports.

In sports there hasn't been much action recently. A previous injury to the shoulder of Aikidoka Kurt Goldstein has still been acting up and he will continue to take a break until he's certain of its stability. Whether or not this is the end of his Aikido career is yet to be determined, but only time will tell. Back to you in the studio.

That's terrible. I hope the shoulder recovers soon, Kurt looks like he's beginning to put on weight. In our next story, with all of the Valentines Day red about, someone is seeing green. We have the story.

Every year around this time people begin to buy gifts for each other to show they care. But an expensive fall and Christmas has left one man without much left in his wallet. His eyes have turned away from the red and toward the green, watching as the last bits of his money fade away. Yet, stubborn as always, he refuses to give up.
"Just because I'm running out of money doesn't mean I have to stop having fun."
He continued by saying how he will just have to sacrifice his own eating habits, resorting to inexpensive pasta and ramen to survive, but he'll make it through. But he has asked that anybody who currently has not paid him back, it would be quite welcome. For J.E.W. news, this is Kurt Goldstein.

Thanks, Kurt. I hope that man can get some of his money paid back soon. In our last story for the evening, it seems money isn't the only struggle right now. GPA has become a big factor that influences money and some don't have what it takes to save that money. There are those who only need a couple good grades to regain their scholarships, but because College of Charleston has a "no forgiveness" policy in their grading system, things are harder for some CofC students. Several of them, including one student we interviewed named Kurt Goldstein, need to make all A's this semester to regain their scholarship.
"I think it's stupid that if you have one bad semester it's impossible to retake the courses and undo the damage. People I know have had bad semesters for several reasons; Medical, death in the family, work-related stress. For those people, quite often it's not possible for them to undo the damage and regain their scholarships."
Many students have voiced complaints about this system at C of C, but nothing has been resolved yet. Students say that they are even willing to go straight to the dean and board of trustee's if they can get the changes made.

Join us again whenever we're back to get more on the latest in the area. This is Kurt Goldstein saying thank you and good night.
