my mom just made me cry (not in the good way)
james brown died (full tribute when I can actually process it)
and I hated Dreamgirls (HAAAAAAAAAAATED dreamgirls).

Bring on boxing day madess and New Year's.

My family and I loved Dreamgirls... but I'm sure we processed it based on different criteria :)

it's glitzy and shiny but light as a soap bubble

the musical is dark and sad and way more dramatic. they cut out soooo much!

I only just got back on the internet after weeks of *not* being on it, or else i would have commented much sooner.
Your Glitter show was FABULOUS, and confirmed my suspicions that you are someone I with whom i DEFINITELY want to collaborate artistically (and get to know better, which for me is a given along with the former).

son, you've definitely got it (you know, "it", the thing people either have or they don't and there's just no way to describe it to people who don't get that).

(oh, and my own brain tries to process the James Brown thing, but keeps getting tripped up by that Art of Noise song looping over and over in my head. i do a MEAN rendition of "i feel good" though, especially for a 20something white girl)
