Judging from the amount of molehills we get in our garden (and there is a HUGE one right by the patio this morning), there must be a whole community of moles out there. I like it. Every time I see a molehill, I think of the little creature that made it. I think it's a real shame that some people go berserk about the little piles of earth and

My kitties kill 'em. They leave 'em on my patio for the ants to clean-up, so I find little piles of fur, and delicate, delicate bones.

That's not a happy thing.

No, not exactly. But it is interesting to see the skeleton. They also kill snakes, and leave them on my front step. Sadly, they're usually non-poisonous snakes that I don't want killed. What can I say. I can't keep 'em indoors.
