Went today for my first day of five St. Tammany Parish new teacher orientation days. And damn... talk about too long and drawn out... I can only imagine what's going to happen the rest of this week ( Read more... )

OH yeah, it's five, and if you're special ed, you have a sixth. But thankfully, I'll actually be meeting with JUST the intrumental folks tomorrow, so that should be more useful.

we had to do a kwl or kwol or something in EDCI. don't ask me what it is, but we did that. ha ha!

Hey kelly! This is Rejetta. We do KWL charts in education classes. "K" stand for what do they want to know. "W" stands for what do they want to learn. And "L" stand for what did they learn. You do it the first day of teaching a new lesson. The students will tell you what they know and what they want to learn. You write everything down even if it's wrong. Then on the last day of the lesson, you go back on write what they learned.
I cant remember what they "four corners" stands for. It's some kind of game that uses the four corners in the classroom.
