texas is a miserable place according to my professor

i'm taking a genres class this semester and our focus is on horror films. last night we watched texas chainsaw massacre, which i had never seen before, and it scared the fuck out of me. my professor had nothing nice to say about the lone star state, most of his references focused on the dallas area, and i know dallas sucks so i wasn't too offended
