I do believe I have gone insane.  I am making a strange project out of trawling OkCupid! (its sort of a dating/social networking site) and basically looking through hundreds of people's profiles and trying to convince myself that there are other people out there who can compare to Nathaniel. I may not even talk to them or actively try to do

Always be careful with dating sites, those things can go either way. I wish you the best of luck!

Assume a 5% response rate, I suggest you wink the hell out of all profiles that you see that you like. A high enough sample size will lead to a response and perhaps a new connection. OKCupid has been great for me but I am aging into another service.

Hey Karl.

I’ve been reading your most recent posts and I’ve actually heard of the poem you mentioned in your one entry.

I probably keep saying this a lot, but I really feel bad that you’re having to go through what you’re going through right now. If there’s anything at all that I can do to help you in any way at all, I don’t want you to hesitate to tell me. You can ask me anything you want and talk to me about anything you want, as I’ve said a few times before.

I do want to just say to be careful with the dating site you talked about. I know you said you probably won’t even do much with it, and I understand that, but still be careful. I don’t want to see anything happen to you by some crazy guy. You never know what kind of freaks are out there and I really care about you a lot and want to see you safe and happy again.

Well, I’ll be going now. I just figured I’d post this before I go. I’ll talk to you if I see you on again tonight.
