I started doing Wii Fit again (in addition to walking so I'm getting different types of exercises so I'm not getting bored). It's a way better way of keeping track of things than I would be on my own, anyway. I can't figure out how to log in the activities log stuff I do on past days, though. It's not an easy thing to keep up, no. I used to get really down sometimes over the winter about going to the gym, because on gym days we'd basically do nothing else. Work, home, quick snack, gym, home, dinner, bed. Nothing else would or could get done ( ... )

i should pull out the wii fit again. kate also got wii active, which is much more intense - she could feel a difference when she was doing that every other day (i think she managed it for about 2 weeks)

and 4 pounds is exciting! don't knock that! i have a work friend that is doing some program for weight loss, and she started buying herself treats every time she lost 10 pounds, to keep it exciting. She has a bracelet and gets herself a new charm every 10 pounds. I'm pretty sure she's lost 170 pounds... and I think she still has 50 to go before she reaches her target. but knowing that she has a treat coming every 10 pounds keeps her motivated to keep going.
