A Productive Spring Break on the Homefront
My intention this spring break was to redo the kitchen. It's not a big kitchen, and I only had a corner of the kitchen to redo, so it wasn't a big task. But then I took it from the kitchen out to the dining room. Part of me is wishing I hadn't done that, but I'll get over it.
This was the kitchen before: AWFUL APPLES!
I knew I wanted to paint the green a lighter color. It looks blue, and some say it's blue, but dammit, it's a shade of green! lol. Anyway, I found a table runner at Bed Bath & Beyond, cut it so it wouldn't be so wide, and glued it over the ugly apples. I'm really, really loving the kitchen.
Dining room - I'm going to have to get used to it. I prefer the red. The wainscoat cuts the walls in half or it's too "in your face, I'm a line going around the room" something or other.

I'm looking forward to doing the other rooms in the house. Summer can't get here soon enough! I already ordered bedding. I'd been waiting because we were getting a king size bed from my parents (now that my sister moved out!). Now it's time to finally give ourselves a nice bedroom.
