Thud. Betty, this one was amazing, from the very first word to the very last. The thought process throughout this chapter as we followed each character to reach the conclusion felt so realistic and not at all manipulated or contrived for the sake of plot advancement. I loved how you ended it on a lighter note, too, and so them.
This was definitely my favorite story so far; thank you for sharing your wonderful gift with us. Can't wait for the epilogue, but then I'll truly miss your Brian especially. Hmmmm, which will I reread while I not so patiently await your next?
you had me on the edge of my seat, like this part “Goodbye, Theodore.” broke my heart into million pieces and I don't think you can glue it back together... ajbdcahdbcahdchajdca
btw this is first time I ever comment on your fics...so HELLO!
omg.. all this time i thought *nah, he won´t kill himself. betty will not allow that* but as i read this chapter i wasen´t so sure anymore. the way you wrote his last hours at kinnetik, his last conversation with theodore, his thoughts before the fucking tree - it made me holding my breath - i was sooo tempted to scroll downdowndonw to read if justin would stop him or not. but i´m glad i didn´t. and i´m even more glad that you let brian decide alone not to kill himself. i think it´s important for their future that he himself is willing to live. (even tho i´m relieved he made this promise to justin in the end, cause so i know he will never ever consider suicide anymore - cause a deal is a deal!) i´m very happy that there is an epiloge - can´t wait to read it! thank you for this great chapter!
Yes, you can always trust Brian on his promises. He wouldn't have been able to promise that if he hadn't made the decision for himself. And it's a huge step forward for him after three years.
So glad he found his reason to live again. Three years of prugatory id long enough. Thankfully it was Ted that gave Justin the missing clue to figure out what Brian was up to. I was waiting with bated breath to see if he'd actually go through with it.
Justin was right, there was no one to help Brian after the accident. Guess they thought he was tough enough to handle it om his own. Some friends.
Justin knew something was up but he didn't realise until Ted called him that Brian wasn't simply planning to disappear again.
Brian made it really hard for his friends to help him. Even Justin couldn't get through to him for three years. But in the end, he snug in under the radar again.

That formal goodbye to Ted was rather ominous, wasn't it?
Thank you for taking the time to comment.
