Out on the road...

*Open your camera's eye view on a random patch of scenery. Fairly non-descript, with the usual trees and shrubs and so on. It's... quiet. "I read you, Kaci. Do yu have a fix on my position?" he asks, glancing through the window to see the officers still standing patiently outside their own cruiser. He wonders how much longer he can count on their patience.

*True to her word, the black Celica rounds the corner a few seconds later, pulling up and parking just in front of the police car, nose to nose. Her scanners pass over the two police officers as one of her doors clicks open ready for Spike to jump in.*

For her part, Kaci is perfectly used to the surprised and shocked reactions to her appearance as a car that can apparently drive itself. She's admittedly amused by the familiarity of the situation, but also can't help feeling rather sorry for the young officers as she pulls away and heads back up the road though. "Poor guys. They dunno what they've stumbled on, do they?"

"Thank you, Kaci," Spike offers as he settles into her seat. He is tired, and very tense, but he's continuing to hide it under a veneer of calm, brisk coolness. "Haste back to Metroplex would be appreciated. What can you tell me?""You're welcome, and of course." To make good on that last part, she starts to put on noticeable speed as they approach the open road. "I'm still kinda getting my bearings on what's going on, so I'm not sure how much I can be... but what do you want to know ( ... )
