This is why I like the no-kill traps - just carry them far enough away from your house that the mouse can't find its way back, pull back the little trap door, give it a wiggle and tilt it down to the ground, and voila! Bye-bye mouse. Then you can re-use the trap and no messy corpse to deal with.

Eeew. We used to get mice and rats every spring in Vietnam, snakes and ants in Indonesia... I guess it's pretty much just roaches here. I just want to convince the animal kingdom that houses are for humans! I don't begrudge them their existence in their own sphere. I just...don't want to see them.
