been slowly getting back into akame fanfics. Wanted to make a list of ones that moved me. I'll probably be missing a lot.....but will be slowly adding to the list as I read new ones and review old ones.
One note tho: I have strange pet peeves regarding the fics I'm willing to read/like. It used to be I didn't like reading about Jin's LA stay. Nowadays I avoid anything in reference to their real situations (cuz I believe what I see.....) So I almost treat the Jin and Kame in stories as completely separate from RL. Tho it's still nice to have some of the characterizations there so I don't need to be updated everytime about the main characters :P Also I'll be putting mostly multichapter fics here cuz there's too many spectacular one-shots. There's plenty of multichapter fics out there that I like, but these are the gems..... the ones where I feel are pretty much publishable in current form.
Anyways enough talk, here goes:
Netting a Turtle is a Virtual Affair by becroberts : really well thought out, interesting universe (and gets me to think about if that's possible in the future......hmmm....) The only problem I would say is sometime the author uses a bit too much of those (insert name of literary devices) and it gets in the way of the flow. But most of the time it works to her advantage.
He's Like a Virgin Losing a Child by korn_lotr_luver : As I mentioned I usually don't like reading about anything premised in RL. But this one has a different feel, and doesn't impinge as much cuz it's set in the future and only references a set of past that hasn't happened. The only thing is that I didn't understand the little boy's illness. Did he have it before they went to live with Jin? Or that somehow it appeared with Jin? Anyways, it's quite difficult reading 2 people with debilitating diseases (and a third that's just.....) But a really great story!

It's all so so beautiful, (for a moment in the beginning i thought kame had one of those characterizations I didn't like, but it was not the case) The ending is quite open tho, makes me wonder what will happen AFTER all that. I'm assuming Jin will still play pro tennis.....cuz that's his love, but....
AM SOOOO happy about kizuna_exchange!!! loved it soooo much. Soooo many talented writers. If i listed all the ones i liked i'd probably list everything i've read.....so i'm just gonna put in the VERY BEST.
Real Face World I really love how they handled the concern each member has for the others. (and how subtle the akame is xP)
Such great heights is cute too even if the relationship moves a bit fast.
Great Gig in the Sky the musical knowledge is amazing
Love Thy Neighbour gahhh can't resist good neighbour fics. Especially when said fic doesn't have anything really happening....haha....tho kame's sorta wishy-washy here, it's hard to write changing feelings in short fics tho
Taking Cues..... now everytime I think of Jin's 'pimp', I'll think of kame in lips outfit.....hahaha..... and yay for faking sex noises, in a room, for a month. I like how the sexual tension crap only comes in later
AND of course Pikanishi!!! lol love that. And Mission #416..... it gets sorta messy tho.... and feels unfinished.....

Behind the Music LOVE this soooo much......i love teenage akame. Just puuuure love! And how jin sorta saves kame's life and everything.....gahhhhh. Tho the last paragraphs makes me sad and hate celebs/real world a bit more
