THis was brilliant!

And the legend of the two eggs was made up by Gaiman. But as you said this is fanfic!

This was really nice! I liked the different perspectives, you really captured everyone's voices very well. I loved Donna's part, especially the fact that she actually calls Handy Handy, and that she thinks of him as the Donna-Doctor. Fabulous!

One little typography nitpick. When you want to stress a word, you're putting asterisks around it as well as italicizing (like *this*), which is totally not necessary, since *this* is usually used when this can't be. I would say go with just the italics, because having both is a little redundant. I found they were distracting me from your very awesome story. (I would save a version of the story with the asterisks and without the italics, in case you need to post it somewhere that doesn't allow HTML.)

I really enjoyed this story! Great title, too. It took me a second to get the joke. Love that!

Thank you. A troll told me "Handy" should never be used within a fanfic, so I had to do it. And after all, if she'll call him Martian Boy ...

I was using the asterisks and italics because sometimes I like to put stuff onto my Kindle to read offline, and I have to convert it into a text file. But I don't know how many other people do that, and if it's distracting I'll take the asterisks out. Thanks for telling me.

You go tall the perspectives in nicely. I like the title (Rivers in Egypt) but as I'm a sucker for Gaiman, the phoenix egg thing is cool, too.
