First let me say, Doug is a real ass if he knew you liked the girl and still asked her out anyway. He obviously isn't worried about your friendship. Did jessie know you felt that way about her? Are you still with Sammy? Doug probably wasn't joking he is probably seeing the other girl behind both of your back's. Stick with Jessie because it sounds to me like he is bound to hurt her and when he does you can be there for her. A friend who will go out with someone another "good" friend liked first isn't a friend really. If he had known her first it would be a little different but since he knew how you felt and knew it would bother you or hurt you then fuck him. If he was a true friend he would have started talking you up and tried to get her to go out with you not keep her for himself
