Because clearly suggesting other things that can be made of lace is a good use of time:

• table runners
  
• curtains
  
• antimacassars (these are those things you set on the backs of chairs, yes?)
  
• wall hangings
  
• skirts (presumably with a plain fabric skirt in a neutral color under them)

Can't sell, don't want to keep, want to keep making...clearly, it is time to make presents for people. ^_~.

Have you ever considered knitting an overdress/surcoat? I think that would be pretty awesome to see. I know, it falls into the more decorative than functional...but that kind of decorative wear I think would be pretty awesome!

Also as a side note: that type of knitting reminds me of the lace doilies I had in my room at my grandparents' house growing up. I loved my doilies. ^_^.
