Tatterhood
I keep thinking about fairy tale retellings, and coming back to the fairy tales in Tatterhood and Other Tales. Today, I started wondering if there was enough material in Tatterhood (and stories of a similar type) for a trilogy of MG/YA books.
Why?
Because I'm silly and came up with titles.
"To Wear a Tattered Hood"
Let's say, Tatterhood up until the trolls attack and steal her sister's head.
"To Wield a Wooden Spoon"
ATTACK THE TROLLS. With a wooden spoon. And/or cooking. Definitely with magical goats.
"To Ride a Snow-white Goat"
ADVENTURE. On the sea. With goats.* And possibly pirate trolls.**
What fairy tales would you like to see retold in novel version? And have you got titles?
*Or a ship with a goat figurehead. I'm not picky.
**But no princes. Or kings. Who needs hastily tacked on royalty when you have pirate trolls?
