I haven't read any Loki/Darcy -- is it good? Er, I guess that's dumb, as obviously you think so or it wouldn't be an OTP...derp derp). Let me try that again -- what do you like about it? What would you rec to someone who hasn't read any?

Loki/Darcy is pure crack in my book. It's funny because Loki is a drama queen and Darcy is well... US, but with a taser.... :D

As for as rec... I shall give you one because most of it is terribly close to twilight fic (which makes it hard to find good fic) Funny That Way, please enjoy. :)

*grins* yes, that moment when new people show up and you check your journal and it's 'oh, the first two posts they're going to get are on the woe of 50 Shades of Grey, um, ooops?'

I used to get really annoyed by people saying who was and wasn't normal, so I developed this logic whereby if normal means the same as everyone else how can anyone be normal when we're all our individual selves? No such thing as normal :)

Anne McCaffrey! And Stranger in a Strange Land! BOOKS ARE LOVE <3 And hello your fandoms, I appove mightily :D I never actually got into Buffy because my mum heard 'vampire' and banned me, me having an over-active imagination that did at times get me in trouble. When I got older though I watched a few episodes and a lot of Angel, went back to my mum and said, 'It's not about vampires, it's about feminism!' One of my friends leant me the whole seven season boxset for the summer and I'm working my way through! I'm still in season one though *sheepish grin*.

is anyone still reading? Have I gone on too long? ( ... )

I just got the yen to re-read some of the Pern novels a few weeks ago (that my or may not have been cybermathwitch's fault...) Those books were kind of formative.

And there was Christopher Stasheff's Warlock series, oh, and Xanth before they got awful. Oh Heinlein! My first "grown up" science fiction story was Number of the Beast the summer between my fourth and fifth grades. Now that I have kids of my own (in 6th, 7th and college) I have to ask "the fuck were my parents thinking ( ... )

Just jumping in to say that despite appearances:

I'm not actually a scapegoat, I just play one on Kade's TV. Snicker. ;)

Oh, we are such squicktwins …

However, I commented to say: ELFQUEST! I loved that back in the day! So beautifully drawn and so many women kicking sundry arses. I stopped following it after the first two big storylines, and then years later saw some that was fairly bananas, but I still love a bit of pointy-eared shooting and scheming with alien subtext!

Yeah, it really derailed badly and a lot. But the first Four books were gorgeous and wonderful and... I still re-read them every once in a while.
