I used to get really annoyed by people saying who was and wasn't normal, so I developed this logic whereby if normal means the same as everyone else how can anyone be normal when we're all our individual selves? No such thing as normal :)

BOOKS ARE LOVE <3 And hello your fandoms, I appove mightily :D I never actually got into Buffy because my mum heard 'vampire' and banned me, me having an over-active imagination that did at times get me in trouble. When I got older though I watched a few episodes and a lot of Angel, went back to my mum and said, 'It's not about vampires, it's about feminism!' One of my friends leant me the whole seven season boxset for the summer and I'm working my way through! I'm still in season one though *sheepish grin*.

I just got the yen to re-read some of the Pern novels a few weeks ago (that my or may not have been cybermathwitch's fault...) Those books were kind of formative.
I'm not actually a scapegoat, I just play one on Kade's TV. Snicker. ;)

However, I commented to say: ELFQUEST! I loved that back in the day! So beautifully drawn and so many women kicking sundry arses. I stopped following it after the first two big storylines, and then years later saw some that was fairly bananas, but I still love a bit of pointy-eared shooting and scheming with alien subtext!
