Well, you know my vote - but beyond my purely selfish reasons for wanting Avengers fic, I really think that it would be more of a challenge (and therefore potentially more fun/engaging) to write Avengers. You can write (very good) Harry Potter fic in your sleep, it's second nature.
That said, ultimately, I think you should write whichever story fills you with glee and happiness when you think on it.
I think hearing the first story from "Bianca's" POV is an interesting take. Her side is just as interesting!
I would also love to see a Steve/Bucky modern day fic. Why? Because there aren't enough good ones out there!
In my experience, if you're having trouble writing something, it's not the story you should be writing. Especially in the case of NaNo where there's already a lot of pressure. I wouldn't worry about your past history with the fandom. Yes, you need to find your voice but this could be the turning point in finding your Avenger voice! But there's nothing wrong with playing it safe and doing something you're comfortable with, either.
*sigh* See? I have words and I'm no help at all! I guess the important thing is what words come out on November 1st! Your brain is probably trying to save up power for the start of NaNo. I wouldn't push it too much. Let the muse have her rest!
