i discovered an amazing puzzle yesterday:

there were pieces of note cards torn up and scattered all along my street.  as i was walking home (twice), i picked up as many of them as i could find, because i wanted to know what they said.  i brought them home and started piecing them back together on the living room table.  i haven't gotten too far, and
