But oh, poor 10.5. And what will happen next? I'm going to be very sad, aren't I? Will Rose forgive him for not explaining what's happening? Will he forgive himself what what's happened?
Ohhh, can't wait for more. Twice a week, eh? I'll be looking for the next installment!

But yes, sorry about Donna and Ten2. :( I'm extremely flattered that you thought the Donna scene was sadder than the original (which made me cry), though. As for Ten2, I'm afraid I can't claim it's all going to be all right. :/ It broke my heart to do that, because I actually love him to bits, but the story just demanded it.
Will be posting the next chapter tomorrow. Hope it'll have been worth the wait!

But for now - poor 10.5. The way you got into Donna's mind as she faced her fate was beautifully written and very touching.
And this:
He turned to look at her. Part of him wanted to walk the short distance to her, tug her to her feet, away from a dying body that was too much like his, and crush her to him, seeking comfort in a presence he’d missed for years. Part of him preferred to keep to himself, away from affection and reassurance he didn’t deserve.
“I had no choice!” he said defensively, as if Rose herself had appointed him the culprit for the situation.
A very good acount of Ten's compulsion to pre-empt people accusing him of things he blames himself for.

I'm wondering if Children of Earth might come into it along the way.
I'm not going to claim that it will... I'd already written Jack into the story by the time I watched CoE, so in my mind, he was in post-Exit Wounds time, but pre-CoE. The temptation to shift things was there, though, but I bravely fought it. ;) (would've been too much to handle for one single fic, I think)

Thanks so much!
