A wonderful chapter. This feels like the natural outcome for all of them, and you write it wonderfully.

Yay! Great ending. :D Well, almost-ending. The Doctor broke at last, and now everyone can have a shot at being happy.

And after what they went through, they do deserve to be happy, don't they? Thank you!

Very good chapter, a great mix of angst and tenderness.

Can someone help me with something? I see this in fan fic a lot, where Jack is said to be about 175 years old. By my count, he's closer to 2,175 years old, because of the time Grey has him buried alive in 27 AD, to repeatedly awake and suffocate until he is unearthed and cryo frozen by Torchwood in the 19th century again, and then defrosted back in 2008. Yes? No?

I think a lot of people just prefer to pretend that never happened, to be honest - or we assume that he was dead the whole time, mainly because the alternative is too horrible to contemplate. So that's why you don't see very many writers choosing to show him as over 2000 years old.

Thank you!

As for your question, I think Wendy covered that. I tend to ignore what happened in that episode - or at least, the part with Grey. Or if I really have to think about it, I consider that Jack stayed dead the whole time.
