Okay I know I didn't finish my winter holiday post. BUT I WILL! However I couldn't resist a Tocus/Oriel Valentine post.
Oriel hated it when His Grace gave him the day off. There was nothing to do in the embassy. He was the youngest employee by at least twenty years. Shopping was out since he would need to get a guard to accompany him. The only way to get a guard to go with him, without the Ambassador ordering it was to offer himself to the whole lot of them. He did it once and that was one time too many. Honestly he could ask His Grace and was almost certain he could get a guard ordered but...he really hated to bother him. It wasn't like he had any money to spend. He had used up his spending allowance and while he could dip into his savings he didn't want to. He wanted to prove to His Grace that he was a responsible adult. Being a responsible adult was not fun. Finally he settled on going to his room and reading a book. If he could keep still.
When he opened his door there was strip of red rose petals, wide enough for him to walk on, from his door to his bed in the middle of the room. Laying in the middle of the bed was an arrangement of roses in various stages of bloom and ranging form white to pink to red, shaped like a heart. As far as he knew he was the only one with a key to his room. Except.....His Grace.
Someone came up behind him and placed their hands over his eyes. The familiar scent kept him from turning and attacking. Although the memories of being kidnapped still sprang up in his mind.
"Guess who." Tocus' voice whispered in his ear.
"Tocus." Oriel did turn around but not to attack. Instead he wrapped his arms around Tocus' neck. "What are you doing here?"
"It's the second day of the fourteenth sun." Tocus answered.
"What does that mean?" Oriel asked.
"Among my people it is the day to celebrate virginity." Tocus answered.
"You have a day to celebrate that?" Oriel asked in awe.
"Yes, and so I am here to celebrate with you." Tocus answered.
"But...." Oriel blushed. "We aren’t virgins....."
"Right but you were....our first time, right?" Tocus answered.
"Yes." Oriel felt himself blush more.
"Then on this day I am honor bound to bring you flowers." Tocus grinned.
"Wait....all this? You did it?" Oriel asked gesturing to the floor and his bed.
"I grew every single rose personally from a seed." Tocus nodded.
"How did you get into my room?" Oriel asked he was most certain he locked it when left. He always locked it.
"Magic." Tocus gave the grin that told Oriel that was all the information he was going to get.
"So what is my role in this celebration?" Oriel asked although he was dying to know what 'magic' Tocus used.
"Well if you find my offering of flowers pleasing then you agree to preform the celebration ritual with me." Tocus answered.
"What do I have to do in this ritual?" Oriel asked slightly nervous.
"I can't tell you unless you agree." Tocus had a mischievous grin about him that implied he was toying with Oriel.
"If I was born and raised among your people I would already know about it wouldn't I?" Oriel countered.
"Yes, you would have celebrated it before too. You would not have been a virgin for as long either." Tocus smiled suggestively.
"So then tell me so we are even." Oriel continued his haggle.
"You trusted me with your virginity. Can you trust me again?" Tocus asked.
"I...uh...." Oriel considered. Tocus had never done anything to hurt him. In fact he had made the voyage across the ocean much more pleasant then it would have been. But he really didn't know much about the Mountain People or Tocus for that matter. If something went wrong His Grace was only a thought away. "Alright I agree."
"Great!" Tocus leaned forward and kissed him. "Now get naked." Tocus started on removing his own clothing.
"What?!" Oriel hadn't expected this.
"Get naked. All rituals are done naked." Tocus winked at him. Oriel found himself stripping on the assurance of that wink.
Once they were both naked Tocus led Oriel to the bed. This was even more assuring.
"Now I chose this shape because I am led to believe it is a romantic symbol among outlanders. Is this right?" Tocus asked indicating the heart arrangement of flowers.
"The heart? Yes." Oriel replied.
"Heart like in your chest?" Tocus asked.
"No I mean it's a symbolic version of the heart." Oriel tried to explain.
"Oh wow I did really good then." Tocus smiled.
"Yes, it's very romantic. " Oriel smiled for the first time since he walked in his room he felt superior to Tocus.
"Now each flower has meaning." Tocus' explained. "Each one represents a part of my body that will touch yours and how. The white one represents my hands, the pink one my lips and the red one my penis. The more in bloom the rose the harder and longer the touch will be. It will be your role to pick a rose and touch a part of your body. I will then follow the instructions of the rose." Tocus put his hand behind his back and then pulled it forward to show a white rose bud. "For example if you were to touch this to your cheek." Tocus did just that brushing the rose across the left side of Oriel's face. "I would do this." Tocus used his other hand to follow the path of the rose bud. "Understand?"
"Yes." Oriel breathed.
"One more thing once you pick your first rose. Neither one of us can speak a word until the last rose is gone." Tocus added. "Ready?"
"One question?" Oriel asked getting his breath back.
"Yes?"
"How many roses are there?" Oriel asked.
"Two hundred and ten" Tocus answered.
"Right then, better get started." Oriel replied and picked up his first rose.
