I will be extremely displeased if there is not a happy ending. It is just uncool to do all that and then not make it turn out decent.

This is why I hated the ending to the first anime, for the record. Maybe some people see Ed reviving a person again, the brothers getting stuck in an alternate dimension, Ed never getting his arm and leg back, and them abandoning all of their original goals to be a happy ending, but I sure as heck don't. And I still have faith in Arakawa to give them a happy ending, mostly because there would be no point otherwise.

Oh my gooooood I hated that cliffhanger so much. Can you imagine waiting a month after that. MY GOD THAT WAS HELL.
